Candidate filing for the following 2024 state and county offices will be accepted at the Stanly County Board of Elections from noon Dec. 4 to noon Dec. 15:

• NC House District 67: $140;

• NC Senate District 33: $140;

• Board of Education, Members At-Large and Districts 2, 3, 4 and 5: $27;

• Register of Deeds: $696.40; and

• County Commissioner, At-Large and District 5: $154.32.

Filing fees are calculated at 1% of the starting annual salary for the position. Fees over $50 must be paid by check, payable to the Stanly County Board of Elections.

Candidates for federal, state-wide and judicial offices file with the NC State Board of Elections. Filing for municipal and Soil and Water offices are held after the primary.
