Stanly Community College (SCC) nursing instructor Angela Hamby, RN, was recently honored as one of the Great 100 Nurses in North Carolina.
The North Carolina Great 100, Inc. is a grassroots peer recognition organization that acknowledges and celebrates the significant contributions of registered nurses in diverse practice settings across the state.
Hamby received an associate degree in nursing at SCC before pursuing higher education at Winston Salem State University and obtaining a master’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
“Being among the Great 100 Nurses is a prestigious honor highlighting the commitment and passion that Angela brings to the nursing profession,” said Christie Honeycutt, associate vice president of health sciences and public services for SCC. “Her influence extends far beyond the classroom, and it’s clear that her legacy lives on through her students.”
