Western Carolina University has announced that more than 1,000 students named to the fall 2023 dean’s list. To qualify for this honor, students must achieve a GPA of 3.5 or higher while completing 12 or more credit hours.

The following local students made the list: Isabel Alfaro of Locust, Sion Barringer of Albemarle, Blair Burris of Albemarle, Jude Hahn of Albemarle, Dylan Haigler of Locust, Katelynn Lee of Albemarle, Jonathan Newsome of New London, Faith Towery of Locust and Madelyn Woodard of Albemarle.
