The Pfeiffer University women’s indoor track and field team had several strong performances over the past weekend at the Camel City Invitational at the JDL Fast Track Winston-Salem.

The highlight of the weekend came when the school record in the distance medley relay (DMR) was broken by the team of Makayla Borst, Ketelyn Lentz, Micah Welborn and Madison Lowery. The team ran to a time of 12:58.98, which broke the previous record of 13:11.73 that was set in 2017 at the Conference Carolinas Indoor Chamionships. The time currently has the team ranked seventh nationally among Division III times.

Lowery also came back and finished in eighth place in the mile with a tie of 5:10.60.
