At Thursday’s Locust City Council meeting, Mayor Steve Huber recognized Tim Pflieger, director of Public Works for the city, for receiving his Professional Management Certification from the American Public Works Association.
Huber described Pflieger as an “excellent leader, who has challenged himself by earning advanced training, and who goes above and beyond for his employees.”
The mayor cited a recent pump station failure, and Pflieger’s response and willingness to “work beside his employees in providing round-the-clock staffing” as an example. He also recognized the city’s entire Public Works staff for its dedication and long hours in working to resolve the problem.
