The City of Albemarle’s Public Housing Department will open waiting lists for both of its Public Housing communities.

The Public Housing Department operates Amhurst Gardens and Elizabeth Heights.

A 9 a.m. March 4, a new wait list for both communities will be opened. Individuals who previously applied after Sept. 29, 2023, will need to reapply.

Applications can be found online at www.albemarlenc.gov/publichousingapplication or in-person at the housing office at 300 S. Bell Ave., Albemarle.
The Public Housing wait list will remain open until 5 p.m. April 1. All applications are due at that time.
