The 2024 Stanly County Community Health Assessment Survey will take place March 1-29. Individuals ages 18 and older who live and/or work in Stanly County are encouraged to participate. Survey topics include: quality of life, access to healthcare and mental health services, community issues such as homelessness, transportation, substance use and more.
The survey can be accessed at the Stanly County Health Department website (www.health.stanlycountync.gov) March 1-29.
This survey is performed every three years and the results are used by the Stanly County Health Department and Atrium Health Stanly to help determine where to focus resources.
Determining priorities assists the health department in developing action plans for community improvement. Recent priority areas include substance use prevention, mental health initiatives, nutrition and access to physical activity.
Information collected from the 2024 Community Health Assessment will be publicly available on the Stanly County Health Department website as the previous assessment is now. Area agencies and community based organizations use this report to access local health data and needs assessment required by many funding programs.
