It seems like Mother Nature is not quite sure about our weather. Winter and spring are still battling for dominance.
Hopefully spring will win out, even with the pollen that is already affecting some. Enjoy the flowers and trees that are blooming.

“All Roads Lead to Badin” is the slogan for the West Badin Alumni Association’s upcoming reunion. It’s time to prepare for it now by getting registered as soon as possible.

The dates are June 28-30, and the last day to register is May 1. There will be no on-site registration.

Events include Saturday cookout, party with DJ CP The People’s Champ and a Sunday banquet.

The much anticipated Easter egg hunt will be March 30 at 2 p.m. in West Badin Community Park. Look forward to the Easter Bunny, plenty of eggs, prizes, snacks and fun.

Donations are still being accepted.

Church News

Pastor Tamara Horne, along with The Room, will host Ladies Edition on March 22. The speaker will be Assistant Pastor Tonya Covington, of Resurrection Community Church.

Prayer will be at 7 p.m. followed by service at 7:30.
Resurrection Community Church is the place to be on March 23 from 4-9 p.m. The RCC dance team will host its first Sneaker Ball. Add a pair of sneakers to your formal attire and come on out. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased via cashapp at $rccalbemarle2 or by contacting Shanice Mills at 980-271-1728.

Call to Pray meets the first and third Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church, where Rev. Parnell Kelly is pastor. The facilitator is Minister Argene Peoples.
