Central Elementary School teaching assistant Paula Little has been nominated for National Life Group’s 2023-24 LifeChanger of the Year award.

Sponsored by the National Life Group Foundation, LifeChanger of the Year recognizes and rewards K-12 educators and school district employees across the United States who are making a difference in the lives of students by exemplifying excellence, positive influence and leadership.

Little was nominated by a colleague, Christie Talbert, who describes her as “one of the most dedicated educators I have ever had the privilege to work with.”

Little is willing to help in any capacity, Talbert said, whether it is filling a teacher vacancy, leading intervention groups, clerical duties or driving a school bus. She has worked with all grade levels including EC self-contained classrooms and exudes the same positivity and compassion for every student she interacts with.

“She is trustworthy, dependable, honest and a valuable member of our team,” said Talbert.

Each school year, LifeChanger of the Year receives hundreds of nominations from all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Seventeen individual LifeChanger of the Year awards will be given during the 2023-2024 school year.

One grand prize winner will receive $10,000 to be shared with their school/district. Four finalists will receive $5,000 for their school/district and 10 award winners will get $3,000 for their school/district. Other awards will also be presented.

Winners are chosen by a committee comprised of former winners and education professionals. Nominees must be K-12 teachers or school district employees.
