The National Day of Prayer, sponsored by the Stanly-Montgomery Baptist Association, will be observed 6-7 p.m. May 2 at City Lake Park Amphitheatre, 815 Concord Road, Albemarle.

Prayers for the government, military, businesses, educational institutions, churches and families will be offered.
