Tillery Compassionate Care recently hosted a banquet to celebrate and recognize the agency’s volunteers.
Laynie Friend, guitarist and singer, provided entertainment for the volunteers and their guests.
“Volunteers are an essential extension of the TCC team. Their kind words, warm smiles and caring hearts are all things we should take time to celebrate every day,” Tillery Chief Executive Officer Lori Thayer said. “We are grateful for our volunteers’ support and compassionate care!”
Awards presented at the banquet include:
• Lifetime Achievement Awards to Sharon Covery with 1,500 hours of service, Dianne Burton with 2,000 hours and Pat Mills with 4,000 hours.
• Service in direct patient care to Kayren Brantley.
• Service in administrative area to Pat Mills.
• Holiday angel ornaments and other fundraising events to Sharon Covey.
• Five years of service to Faye Crump and Peggy Frashuer.
• Fifteen years of service to Lori Greene.
• Twenty years of service to Linda Burris.
“One of the best parts of my job is meeting and working with volunteers,” said Hailey Black, volunteer coordinator. “You have probably already heard or read it many times, we believe you are the backbone of this agency, we couldn’t do what we do without our volunteers.”
