West Stanly Fire Department and its Board of Directors will have a public meeting at 6 p.m. May 9 at Fire Station 46, 212 S. Central Ave., Locust, regarding the renovation and addition of the main fire station.

This project will be sustained under the current funding rate and no additional tax increase is required, according to Capt. Ryan Hanes.

This public meeting is required in order to secure a lower interest from the department’s financial institution.
