Church News
New Hope Missionary Baptist Church will end its revival tonight, April 30, at 7 p.m..
The speaker is Pastor Fisher of True Holiness Church, Kannapolis. Host pastor is Bishop Ronald Carpenter.
Sanctuary Christian Outreach Ministry, under the leadership of Bishop Gwendolyn Holland, will host its missionary revival, “Extending Hands (Strengthen the Disciples),” beginning May 5 at 3 p.m.
Bishop Tavaris Johnson, of Mt Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Badin, will be the guest speaker.
Revival continues May 8-10, at 7 nightly. The speakers will be Pastor Tamara Horne, of The Room, Pastor Michael Stovall, of Resurrection Community Church, and Rev. Cecil Razar, of First Baptist Church, Norwood.
Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Badin, will have its annual Women’s Prayer Breakfast on May 18 at 10 a.m. Guest speaker will be Pastor Samantha Bowden, of Red Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Breakfast will be served after service.
Contact Brenda Lilly for breakfast tickets. There is a $15 donation.
Community News
Badin VFD invites the community to join them at the station for Community Outreach Day May 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be food trucks, bounce houses, firefighter demonstrations, med checks and more.
National Day of Prayer will be at Courthouse Square Park in Albemarle on May 2 at noon. The theme is “Now’s the Time for Believers to Come Together.”
Looking for fresh produce? Go to Stanly Commons for the farmers market on Mondays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
