National Day of Prayer

The National Day of Prayer observance will be May 2 at noon.

This is a time to come together and pray for all areas of life. There will be special music, speakers and prayers to focus on church, family, education, business and workplace, military, government and country.

Bring a chair or blanket and come to the front area of Locust Government Center.

Farmers Market

Opening day for our Locust Farmers Market is May 2 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. There is a long list and variety of vendors confirmed to be there. They will have fresh vegetables, plants, flowers, meats and an assortment of craft items.

The market is across from Locust Elementary school.

Movie night

Join in the Locust City Cinema Party on May 4 at 6:30 p.m. in the backyard behind Locust City Hall. It will feature “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.”

Vendors open at 6:30 p.m. Movie begins at sunset, approximately 8 p.m.

Public parking in Town Center is available for movie guests. Limited parking is available in the backyard, enter from Kerri Dawn Lane, behind the library. There is no street parking on town center residential streets.

Locust Presbyterian

You are invited to come have lunch in the church fellowship hall. Lunch will begin at 11:30 a.m. For May we will celebrate Cinco De Mayo a little later in the month. We will have a nacho taco bar.

The church is at 607 Main St. W. in Locust.
