SHERIFF’S OFFICE: Woman faces multiple child sex offense charges

The Stanly County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Division received information about a sexual assault with a minor.
Chasity Morris
Following an investigation, Chasity Michelle Morris was taken into custody on May 3. She was charged with statutory rape of a child equal to or younger than 15 years old, two counts of second degree rape, statutory sex offense, indecent liberties with a child and two counts of sexual battery.
Morris received a $500,000 secured bond and has an initial court date of May 20.
