National Honor Society students at Gray Stone Day School recently sponsored a Fun for Funds fundraiser to support the future athletic fields.

Students raised more than $3,300 at the event that featured games, inflatables, food trucks and a silent auction. Club members collected more than 30 donations from local retailers, restaurants and small business owners.

One of the highlights of the evening included teachers and staff members participating in the much-anticipated dunk booth.

“An event like this requires coordination, cooperation and a lot of time. I’m so proud of these students for executing such a well-planned event. I’m very appreciative for the support from our families and local businesses who donated items,” said Heather Ferguson, club advisor.

NHS club members Grace Eppehimer, June Barney, James Bristol and Matayah Grubbs served as the organizers of the event.

“We take pride in our school and working as a team to put this together was a lot of fun and a success overall. I hope this can be an annual event,” said Eppehimer.

Members of the National Honor Society include Zachary Baker, Evan Barber, June Barney, Aniston Belk, Julian BolinSantiago, James Bristol, Kinley Burleson, Michael Burleson, Anna Lynn Carter, Tyler Conforti, Morgan Deaton, Hailey Dry, Cheyenne Efird, Grace Eppehimer, Olivia Everhart, Max Foote, Haleigh Freeman, Addison Furr, Bladen Goodman, Matayah Grubbs, Alex Hedenskog, Amy Gonzalez-Hernandez, Mallory Hill, Ella Huneycutt, Eva Lamanno, Spencer Lambert, Mark Lappin, Lucas Maynor, Joseph McLaughlin, Elijah McSwain, Sydney Mobley, Peyton Noe, Dawson Raynes, Dominick Rinaggio, Wesley Rodgers, Georgia Sangster, Abbigail Sauder, Hudson Sharp, Mylee Swaringen, Eli Thomason, Ella Thompson, Lilly Todd, Anaston Trexler, Ethan Vang and Ella Wilson.
