Uwharrie Capital Corp has been ranked No. 15 on American Banker’s list of the top-performing community banks with under $2 billion in assets.
Each year, American Banker, in collaboration with Capital Performance Group, evaluates community banks across the nation based on various financial metrics such as loan growth, revenue and efficiency.
This year’s rankings were determined using data from S&P Global Market Intelligence, focusing on the three-year average return on average equity (ROAE).
“Our achievement is a testament to our strategic growth initiatives and the hard work and dedication of our entire team,” Chief Executive Officer Roger Dick said. “With industry challenges, such as the decrease in core deposits and slower revenue growth, we have been fortunate to continue to grow and maintain a strong financial foundation, prioritizing the needs of our customers and community.”
