The Albemarle Police Department will host a special community event, “Chill With a Cop,” on Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Jeremiah’s Italian Ice, 811 NC-24, in Albemarle.
The event will offer an opportunity for residents to enjoy a free frozen treat while getting to know their APD police officers. Attendees will have the chance to meet and greet officers, ask questions and voice their concerns in an informal setting.
“Chill With a Cop” is part of the Albemarle Police Department’s ongoing commitment to fostering strong relationships and open communication with community.
“We’re looking forward to connecting with our community in a fun and casual atmosphere,” Police Chief Jason Bollhorst said. “Events like ‘Chill With a Cop’ are really set up to build relationships and have a conversation about whatever is important to our community.”
The Albemarle Police Department encourages everyone to attend and bring their friends and neighbors.
