Albemarle Police officers responded to the area of 518 Arey Ave. at 10 p.m. Sunday in reference to an unconscious person.

A victim located on the scene was shot.

A short time later, Stanly 911 Communications advised of another victim that had arrived at Atrium Health Stanly that had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Detectives responded to the scene to investigate the incident.

Detectives are following up on leads.
