Pfeiffer Women’s Basketball Falls at William Peace, 61-50

Despite forcing host William Peace into 21 turnovers, the Pfeiffer University women’s basketball team dropped a 61-50 USA South decision at the Hermann Athletic Center on Wednesday night.

The Falcons (5-4, 2-3 USA South) shot 37.9 percent (22-of-58) from the field and hit only one three pointer in the loss.  The Pacers (9-6, 6-2 USA South) were able to shoot 45.5 percent from the floor on a 20-of-44 effort and knocked down 3-of-4 from distance in the win.

Individually for the Falcons, Korti Pinion had a team-high 13 points and pulled down six rebounds.  Teammates A’Mya McClain and Kiara Anderson each had 10 points each, rounding out the double figure scorers.

For WPU, Khadijah Daniels had 17 points and Mikayla Ray secured a double-double with15 pint and 11 rebounds.

The Falcons will return home to host Meredith College on Saturday.  Tipoff is slated for 2:00 p.m.
