Stanly Dragons releases roster for game versus Harlem Wizards

The Stanly Dragons team members have been named and a head coach has been selected.

The Dragons will be taking on the Harlem Wizards basketball team at Pfeiffer University’s Merner Gym at 7 p.m. Feb. 1. Doors open at 6 p.m.

The Harlem Wizards travel all over the United States and around the world to take on local teams for an evening of fun and entertainment. This is the first time they have played in Stanly County.

The game is hosted by the Albemarle Rotary Club and funds raised will be used for scholarships, school projects, community grants and Rotary projects.

The Stanly Dragons include teachers and staff members from Stanly County Schools.

Superintendent Dr. Jarrod Dennis has been named as the head coach of the Dragons.

Admission in advance is $10 for students, $12 for the public, $20 for reserved seating and $40 for Courtside Plus. Children under 3 are admitted free.

Courtside Plus ticket holders receive first-row seating and meet privately with some of the Wizard players before the game for a meet-and-greet in the Falcon Club at Merner Gym.
