Furr receives 60-year award from Masonic Lodge 703

On July 25, past Grandmaster of the Grandlodge of North Carolina and also past Master of Masonic Lodge #703 of Albemarle Robert E. Greshem presented a 60-year award to Harold W. Furr of Masonic Lodge #703 of Albemarle.

Greshem invited Lucille, Harold’s wife of 61 years, to assist in the presentation of his 60-year pin.
Harold received a certificate and a picture of him and Lucille on their Hillbilly Scooter which was taken in the July 4 parade in Oakboro.

Harold and Lucille have been members of the Stanly County Hillbillies for a long time and love making children smile when they ride their scooter.

Monday was past masters and awards night and all were honored.

Harold wishes to extend his gratitude for all that made this night possible and for Joe Burris for preparing a meal.
