Stanly County GOP has new headquarters

The Stanly County Republican Party has a new headquarters at Burleson Square beside Handi-Mart.

“We’re excited about it,” Mark Lowder, chairman of the Stanly County Republican Party, said.

He said the party can have meetings there and can also easily bring food over.

The Republican Party has not had a headquarters in more than six months and has actively searched for a new one, he said.

He said the deal was made at the beginning of the month and the party is still in the process of getting furniture and putting up signs. Lowder said all of the signs and campaign literature for Republican candidates will be at the new facility. As election season nears, volunteers will work at the facility on a regular basis.
