During West Stanly High School’s Senior Awards Night May 16, the Kerri D. Efird Memorial Scholarships were presented to 10 students.

Receiving $1,000 each were Holly Hatch, Ashtyn Webb, Jessalyn Simpson, Nathan Snellings, Breanna Douglas, Thomas Chavez-Alvarado, Colby Bowers, Lainie Barbee, Sara Allman and Ava Douglas.

This brings the total awarded through the organization to $127,000 to graduating seniors at West Stanly High.

“With this being the 25th (year), we were so excited to be able to select 10 winners,” Scott Efird, Kerri’s father, said. “Congrats to all. Go make us proud.”
