N.C. Cooperative Extension offers LIFT program for fitness

The Stanly County office of N.C. Cooperative Extension is looking for volunteers to participate in a free research-based fitness program to increase strength, flexibility and balance.

L.I.F.T. stands for lifelong improvements through fitness together and this program will begin the first week of March.

These classes are specifically designed for aging adults and will be at Gold’s Gym in Albemarle 10-11 a.m. Tuesday and Thursday. After the exercises there will be a 30-minute discussion on nutrition.

Anyone unable to join in person will have an online option available through Zoom.

For more information or to register contact FCS Agent Hayley Cowell at the N.C. Cooperative Extension Office at 704-983-3987.
