Two individuals have been charged as accessories to murder in the death of a woman in August 2018.

Stanly County Sheriff’s Office has announced charges of accessory after first-degree murder against Jeremy Glenn Dugan, 35, and Paul Daniel Rubio, 26, in the death of Sasha Lee Naylor.

Sheriff’s detectives received information Nov. 30 relating to the death of Naylor. After an investigation, Dugan was arrested Monday and Rubio arrested Tuesday. A sheriff’s report says the offenses are believed to have happened between Aug. 24, 2018 and Aug. 30, 2018.

Naylor’s car was found burning in the Marshville area of Union on Aug. 28, 2018.

Dugan and Rubio were taken to the Stanly County Detention Center and received a $250,000 secured bond.

Their initial court appearance is scheduled for Monday in District Court.

Joseph Lee Rhodes, 30, of 24677 Kates Dr., was charged in February and faces one count of first-degree murder and one count of murder of an unborn child. These charges come after an investigation into the disappearance of Naylor, 25, who was last seen around 8 p.m. Aug. 21, 2018. She was due to give birth in early February.

Sheriff Jeff Crisco said Rhodes and Naylor were in a relationship and had one daughter together and the unborn child.

Crisco said the investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending.
