2 students receive Stanly Arts Guild scholarships

The Stanly Arts Guild recently awarded two art scholarships to high school graduates.

Tatyanna Bautista

Tatyanna Bautista, a 2024 graduate from South Stanly High School, was the winner of the Patricia Blake Hartley Scholarship of $1,000. This award is sponsored by the Hartley Family in memory of their mother, Patricia, a longtime member of Stanly Arts Guild and strong advocate for art education.
Bautista, who will begin her education at Stanly Community College with the ultimate goal of a degree in art education, is the daughter of Dedra Bautista of Norwood.

Faith Pearson

The Stanly Arts Guild sponsored a second scholarship of $1,000 which was awarded to Faith Pearson, a 2024 graduate of May Christian Academy, a homeschool entity in Union County.
Pearson is the daughter of Eddie and Robin Pearson of Monroe. She will attend Wheaton College in Illinois, majoring in art education and minoring in psychology.
