Cooper students perform recital

Piano, voice and organ students of Anne Cooper presented their spring recital May 20 at Central United Methodist Church in

Each student played several selections.
Duets were performed by Hope Hyatt, Grayson Thompson, Blake Alexander, Jordan Korzelius, Kara Efird, Sofia Swanson, Cohen Lowder, Elijah Sheffield, Alana Harward, Kaylynn McLendon and Madelyn Travis.
Various selections included music from baroque, classical, romantic and contemporary periods, as well as sacred music.
Efird sang “The Prayer” and Swanson sang “The Hills Are Alive” from “The Sound of Music.”
Hyatt and Thompson performed the duet “Rings of Saturn.” Alexander played the duet “Rustic Dance.”
Korzelius performed “Duke Street” on the pipe organ. He and Cooper closed the program with a piano-organ duet of “Praise to the Lord, the Almighty.”
Students unable to attend were Sarah Williamson, Ellie Niederer and Natalie Niederer.
