“Bill” Privette

ALBEMARLE — Mr. William Levine “Bill” Privette, age 70, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, July 7, 2018.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Thompson Creek Baptist Church Cemetery by Dr. Ronnie Grizzle. The family will receive family and friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
Mr. Privette was born June 11, 1948 in Wadesboro, N.C., a son of the late Levine Isaac and Nancy Ruth Jordan Privette.
He was a graduate of Ruby High School and Stanly Tech.
Billy was a retired service technician with Bantek and a former auto salesman. He was a U.S. Marine veteran and served in the Vietnam War.
He was also a member of Thompson Creek Baptist Church.
Billy enjoyed fishing, golfing and writing short stories. He was also an avid Duke, Colts and Yankees fan.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Malinda Porter Privette; a son, Michael Scott Privette, two brothers, Jerry Privette and David Privette; and an uncle, Leonard Privette.
Survivors include a son, Billy (Sarah) Privette of Wilmington, Deleware; two daughters, Lorrie (Dan) Nantz of Albemarle, N.C., and Cynthia (Robert) Kendick of Lakeland, Florida; six granddaughters, Tessa (Anthony Schrock), Hannah (Cullum) Trainor, Emma Nantz, Mallory Kendrick, Lillian Privette and Polly Nantz; a great-granddaughter, Belle Schrock; five brothers, Alvin Privetter of Wadesboro, N.C., Mike Privette of Mt. Croghan, Ronnie Privette of Pageland, Larry Privette of Albemarle, N.C. and Tommy Privette of Morven, N.C.; sister; Tammy Timmons of Columbia, S.C.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
