Sue Rogers Hunsucker, 79, of Albemarle passed away Thursday, July 12, 2018 in CHS Northeast, Concord.
Her funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, July 16, 2018 at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Albemarle with Rev. Wayne Richardson and Rev. Reece English officiating. Burial will follow in the Silver Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church from 9:30 until 11 a.m. prior to the hour of the service.
Born October 1, 1938 in Stanly County, N.C., she was the daughter of the late George A. Rogers and Pauline Whitley Rogers and was an insurance agent with Tucker Insurance.
She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church where she served as pianist for 40 years. She was also a former Secretary and Treasurer of the church.
Mrs. Hunsucker loved her family and she enjoyed shopping and antiques.
Mrs. Hunsucker is survived by her husband of 62 years, Max L. “Rosie” Hunsucker of the home, daughters Kellie Tucker and husband Bill of Albemarle and Stacey Matthews of Albemarle, grandchildren Damien Hudson, Brooke McIntyre, Wes Alley, Nate Alley, and Adam Tucker and great-grandchildren Ireland Hudson, Gage Hudson, Isley McIntyre, Macy McIntyre, Elijah Alley, Luke Alley, Addysen Culp, Lawsen Culp and Karsen Alley.
Mrs. Hunsucker was also preceded in death by a grandson, Brandon Hudson, and two sisters, Marie Tucker and Jane Pendergraft.
