Bulldogs volleyball wins at North Rowan

The Albemarle Bulldogs volleyball team opened its second straight season with a win after Tuesday’s 3-0 road victory at Yadkin Valley Conference opponent North Rowan.

Scores of the match were 25-19, 25-20 and 25-17.

Karlee Efird led the Bulldogs (1-0, 1-0 YVC) with eight kills while Somajhe Parker added six kills. Kayla Ritchie and Armani Baldwin had two kills each for Albemarle.

Zycoria Tillman and Krystin McLendon each had two aces for Albemarle while Efird and Baldwin paced the team with five digs each.

McLendon also led Albemarle with 12 assists, with Tillman adding three assists.
