Grace Barbee Hatley, 90, of Albemarle passed away Thursday, August 23, 2018 in her home.

Her funeral service will be 2 p.m. on Monday, August 27, 2018 at Tabernacle United Methodist Church with Rev. Delane Burris and Rev. Stuart Noell officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care from 6-8 p.m.

Born June 24, 1928 in Stanly County, N.C. she was the daughter of the late Matthew Barbee and Annie Herlocker Barbee.

She was a homemaker and a former employee of Knitsters and the Lutheran Home. She was a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Hatley was preceded in death by her husband John Calvin Hatley.

Survivors include son John Hatley and wife Melanie of Salisbury, daughter Rita H. Wood of Albemarle, brother Jimmy Barbee of Albemarle, sisters Edna Gibson and Boots Lambert both of Albemarle, four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
