Hazel Ruth Pittman Felder, 75, of Norwood, N.C., previously of New London, N.C. and Jacksonville, FL, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2018 in her home.

Her memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, September 1, 2018 in the Stanly Funeral & Cremation Care Chapel with Rev. Karen E. Kaser-Odor, Chaplain of Hospice of Stanly and the Uwharrie officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30 until 11 a.m. prior to the service.

Hazel was born February 28, 1943 in Anson County, N.C. and was the daughter of the late Thomas Pittman and Idell Sellers Pittman. Mrs. Felder was a Hairdresser and a homemaker and was of the Episcopalian faith.

Mrs. Felder is survived by her husband, Ralph Felder of the home. She is also survived by a daughter, Valorie F. Frederick, sister, Carolyn Pittman of Albemarle, N.C., two grandchildren, Nicole Ruth DeLashmutt (Bret) and James R. Frederick, and two great-grandchildren, Corbin and Chloe of Jacksonville, FL.

Family wishes to express appreciation to her nurse Angela, CNA Alicia, Chaplain Karen and Beth Thomas and all the doctors and nurses that cared for Mrs. Felder.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly and the Uwharrie, 960 N. First Street, Albemarle, NC 28001.
