Cathleen Coble Vanhoy, 92, of Albemarle, passed away Wednesday August 29, 2018.
Her funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept 1, 2018 at South Albemarle Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Laws officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12 until 2 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
Cathleen was born August 9, 1926 in Stanly County, N.C. and was the daughter of the late Lawrence Coble and Octa Tucker Coble.
She was a former employee of Stanly Knitting Mills and was a great seamstress.
Cathleen made Masonic Aprons for over 40 years in her home and was an active member of South Albemarle Baptist Church.
Mrs. Vanhoy is preceded in death by her husband Henry Lee Vanhoy.
She is survived by two sons, Jerry Lee Vanhoy (Sandra) of Albemarle, N.C. and Sidney Max Vanhoy of Albemarle, N.C.; daughter Joyce Cranford (Charles) of Albemarle, N.C.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Cathleen is also preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
