Goldwyn Smith Russell, 95, of Salisbury, NC, passed away Wednesday November 7, 2018 at Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House, Salisbury, NC.
Her graveside service will be 11 am Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Fairview Memorial Park with Rev. Brantley Moore officiating.

Goldwyn Russell

Goldwyn was born June 16, 1923 in Stanly County, NC and was the daughter of the late Thomas Irvin Smith and Pearl Bell Beeker Smith.
Mrs. Russell was a homemaker and a member of Fairview Baptist Church. She was a former volunteer at the Lutheran Home and Stanly Memorial Hospital Pink Lady.
Goldwyn attended the Rose Garden at Forrest Oaks where she was an avid gardener.
Mrs. Russell was preceded in death by her husband Floyd Douglas Russell on May 25, 1975.
She is survived by two sons James William Russell of Gastonia, NC and Douglas Bryan Russell (Stephanie) of Oak Island, NC; two daughters Sandy Russell Swaringen (Don) of Richfield, NC and Susie Russell Griffin of Albemarle, NC; sister Merrie Lou Smith Shelley of Baltimore, MD; fifteen grandchildren; twenty one great-grandchildren and twelve great-great- grandchildren. Goldwyn was also preceded in death by two grandchildren Donnie B. Swaringen and Judy L. Swaringen, son in law Hoyle C. Griffin and a sister Katherine Smith Hatley.
Stanly Funeral & Cremation Care of Albemarle is serving the Russell Family.
