John Charles Edge of Albemarle passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at his home.
His service will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 24, 2018 at the West Albemarle Baptist Church with the Rev. Adam Hatley officiating with burial in the Stanly Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends in the West Albemarle Baptist Church Family Life Center Saturday from 12:30 pm to 1:45 pm prior to the hour of the service.

Mr. Edge was born September 15, 1938 in Yancey County, N.C. to the late George Edge and Georgia Edge.
He was the former owner of Norwood Welding and Crane Service for 43 years. He was a member of West Albemarle Baptist Church. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #703 of Albemarle, also a member of Stanly County Beekeeper Association and a veteran of US Army.
Mr. Edge was a Beekeeper; he loved hunting, fishing, his family and most importantly God.
Survivors include his wife Peggy Edge of the home, one son Tony Edge and wife Edna of Locust, NC, three sisters; Norma Atkins of Greenwood, SC, Glenna Dawkins of Burnsville, NC and Martha Robinson and husband Chris of Burnsville, NC and two grandchildren; Dillon Edge and Brandon Edge both of Locust, NC. He is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
