Gray Stone women topple West Montgomery

The Gray Stone women’s basketball team bounced back from Dec. 6’s Yadkin Valley Conference loss with a 40-point conference win on the road Wednesday at West Montgomery.

Secorra Medley was top scorer for the Knights (4-2, 2-1) with 13 points as 11 Gray Stone players had at least one point.

Malaysha Drake paced the Warriors (0-3, 0-2) and led all scorers in the game with 21.

Gray Stone head coach Robert Stack said the Knights had a “slow start shaking off the rust, but we came into our own in the second half … we can explode for points; we just need to find our chemistry and play four quarters.”
