Rodney Dale Morton, 59, of Stanfield, passed away Monday, December 24, 2018 at in Stanfield.
Rodney was born June 12, 1959 in North Carolina to the late Hubert Morton and the late Willie Hazel Morton.
He was also preceded in death by his granddaughters, Carly Nicole Elliotte, and Hannah Kathlean Elliotte; brother, Terry Morton.
Rodney was full of faith, and was a God fearing man. He was very generous and giving of his time. Rodney blessed many people through his card ministry, often sending cards to shut ins and to people that were in need. He also sent cards just to see the joy that people received from them. Rodney lived for his family, especially for his grandchildren. He was a wonderful father, making sure that each child knew the love of Christ.
The family will receive friends from 11:00am -12:00pm , Saturday, December 29, 2018, at Philadelphia Baptist Church in Stanfield . The funeral service will follow the visitation at 12:00pm, also in church with Dwight Mabry officiating the service. Burial will follow at the Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery at 12568 Philadelphia Church Rd., Stanfield.
Survivors include daughter, Rachel Elliotte, sons, Joshua, and Rodney Morton II; sisters, Barbara and Gilda Yow, brothers, Richard and Eddie Morton.
