Brenda Elizabeth Scarboro, 77, of Albemarle passed away Monday, February 18, 2019 in CHS-Northeast, Concord, NC.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, February 22, 2019 at 2 PM at Albemarle First Assembly of God, 1501 NC 24/27 Hwy, Albemarle, with Pastor Jay Weemhoff officiating. The family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care of Albemarle on Thursday evening from 5 until 8 PM.
Born December 12, 1941 in Surry County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Bob Patterson and Vivian Esther Gardner Patterson.
She was trained as Registered Nurse at Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in Winston Salem and worked for many years as a nurse at Amos Cottage, Baptist Hospital, Dorothea Dix, and later at the Stanly County Health Department.
Brenda was a member of Shepherd’s Chapel Community Church in Albemarle.
In addition to her husband David Scarboro of the home, Brenda is survived by son Michael Scarboro (Lynn) of Albemarle, daughters Anne Scarboro Brand (Tim) of Charlotte, and Jennifer Scarboro Russell (T. R.) of Albemarle, sister Pat Redmond (Ed) of Mooresville, grandchildren John Scarboro, Sarah Scarboro, Brianna Russell, Ashley Russell, Carson Russell, Emma Brand and Liza Brand, and special friends Peggy Williams and her son John Williams.
