Pfeiffer men’s basketball wraps up season with road loss

The Pfeiffer University men’s basketball team got 30 points from senior Kyle Riddley but it was not enough, as the Falcons dropped their season finale 121-102 at Johnson University in Knoxville, Tenn. on Saturday afternoon.

Riddley shot 9-of-16 from the floor and added three from long range in his final game with the Black and Yellow.  The Charlotte native also provided four rebounds.

Teammate Craig Sabb scored 15 points on a 6-of-12 effort from the field and added six rebounds and four assists in the loss.  Taylan Rowe had a good outing, knocking down a pair from distance and finishing 4-of-5, to net 10 points.  Senior Nolan Whitener pulled down a team-high 10 rebounds and scored four points in his final game as a Falcon.

Johnson got 40 points from Taylor Gilpin and 22 from Coby Jones.

Pfeiffer closed the 2018-19 season with a 12-13 overall record.
