Linda Gayle Johnson Julius, 63, of Albemarle passed away Thursday, February 21, 2019 at her home.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 26, at 1 PM at Barbee’s Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Eddie Lowder officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church from 11 till 1.
Born March 25, 1955 in Ft. Benning, GA, she was the daughter of the late James Lafayette Johnson and Bonnie Jean Willis Johnson.
Linda graduated from the University of South Alabama with a Bachelors of Nursing.
She worked her entire career in the nursing field from oncology to E.R. nursing until her retirement in 2005.
Linda was a member of Barbee’s Grove Baptist Church.
She carried a great passion for all animals especially her favorite, the giraffe.
She enjoyed playing the slots and the taste of a fresh watermelon, but most of all, spending time with her family.
Linda is survived by her husband, Jay Julius of the home, son Dylan Koufax Curtis of Houston, TX, daughters Jessica Jean Curtis and Sara Siobahn Dawson both of Houston, TX, four sisters Karen Bohentin of Mobile, AL, Lori Keplinger of Oakboro, Donna McNeil of Golden, CO, and Kathy Little of Oakboro,. Other survivors include grandchildren, Lyndi Yurt, Kaytlyn Trickett, Jason Kashinski, Ayva Harvey, Braiden Curtis and eight great-grandchildren.
