South Stanly senior dies in wreck
A South Stanly High School senior died Thursday morning in a crash involving a car and a tractor trailer, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
Sgt. Eric Phillips said Cameron Needham, 18, was driving a Nissan Ultima at 9:45 a.m. when his car hydroplaned and made contact with a tractor-trailer in front of the Lake Tillery Fire and Rescue Building on N.C. Highway 73 just after it branches off N.C. Highway 24-27 in Montgomery County.
