South Stanly men’s basketball opens season with home loss

The South Stanly men’s basketball team opened the season Wednesday night with a 62-31 home non-conference loss to the Montgomery Central Timberwolves.

Brandon Teller scored 12 of his 15 points in the second half to lead the Rebel Bulls (0-1).

Ben Harmon and Tobias Horne each scored 13 points to lead the Timberwolves (1-0).

South Stanly hosts West Stanly (1-0) Friday.
