Furr named to county’s transportation board

The Stanly County Board of Commissioners named a new appointment to the Transportation Advisory Board (TAB) at Monday’s meeting.
Dr. Myra Furr was appointed to the board based upon the recommendation of Stanly Community College President Dr. John Enamait by the commissioners for a recently vacated term. Furr is the vice president of student success for SCC
The TAB is a liaison between Stanly residents and SCUSA on various transportation issues in the county.
The position on the board is for a representative of SCC, which was vacated January 2020 by Dr. Heather Hill.
The motion passed unanimously.
