Albemarle Police have released more information about a fatal accident that happened shortly after 4 p.m. Friday in front of Chick-fil-A on N.C. Highway 24-27.

The police report states Terry Napier Chastain, 66, of Albemarle drove her 2004 Mazda into the back of a 2007 Honda driven by Patience Nicole McBride, 23, of Norwood.

Chastain was traveling west on N.C. 24-27, left the left lane, swerved and hit the median in the road, the report stated. Chastain then went into the right lane, hit the car driven by McBride and flipped over upside down, pinning Chastain under the car.

EMS unsuccessfully tried to revive her.
