The West Stanly baseball team wrapped up the regular season last week to claim a conference crown for the second time in three seasons.

West, who went 20-7 last year and was second in the RRC, is 20-3 this year, including 10-0 in RRC play, and ranked seventh in the 2A Western Region. The Colts’ three losses this season were all to larger classification schools: Southern Lee, Porter Ridge and West Brunswick.

West has outscored opponents 212-55 overall and is 12-1 in games at home. The Colts enter the postseason on a six-game win streak, including two wins over second-place Parkwood in the final week of the season to secure the regular-season title and the No. 1 seed in the RRC tournament.

The Colts will take on Central Academy at home Wednesday in the semifinals of the RRC tournament. West will host the finals on Friday at 7 p.m.
