In unofficial results, Stanly County will see a new county commissioner and a new school board member.

Billy Mills ousted incumbent Peter Asciutto for the District 5 seat on the county commission.

Incumbent Scott Efird won the race in the at-large commission contest over Levi Greene. Efird will face Melvin Poole in the general election.

Meghan Almond unseated incumbent Rufus Lefler for the at-large position on the Stanly County Board of Education.

Cody Huneycutt soundly defeated Brandon King in the N.C. House District 67 race. He will now face Democrat Daniel Quick in the general election.

In the Register of Deeds contest, Jennie Helms won her first election after being appointed to the post upon the retirement of Suzanne Lowder last fall. Helms defeated George T. Burris and Misty Enoch.
