Stanly County Sheriff’s Office is working with federal officials to find a teen who has been missing for nearly a week.

Locust Police Department originally requested public help in finding 17-year-old Destinie Desire. The department said Desire was last seen at 3:30 p.m. May 1 in western Stanly County wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and dark colored pants.

The Sheriff’s Office said Monday morning Desire was still missing and believed to be in the Atlanta, Georgia area.
The public is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 704-986-3714 with any information.
