West Stanly golf team wins Rocky River Conference title

The West Stanly golf team has won the Rocky River Conference championship.

In the RRC tournament, West finished in first with the low group score of 328, winning the overall and 2A crowns. Piedmont finished second, taking the RRC 3A title with a 337.

Ryan Collins of West was the runner-up for conference Player of the Year, and was named All-RRC along with teammates Connor Ingle and Maverick Scott.

West was scheduled to play Monday in the 2A regional qualifier of the state playoffs at Salisbury Country Club.
