“Susan brings a wealth of community news experience to The Stanly News & Press,” said John Carr, publisher of The Stanly News & Press. “She has exceptional customer service skills and is also well versed in our portfolio of digital marketing services. Susan can assist customers in achieving their marketing goals through the use of the SNAP print and digital editions as well as advanced digital services such as site retargeting, search retargeting and geofenced digital marketing.”

Wolf’s first job in the newspaper industry was in Sarasota, Florida in 1988.

“I stumbled into the newspaper business by accident,” Wolf said.

She started out calling potential subscribers and that turned into a full-time position in the circulation department six months later. She later moved on to inside classified sales and inside sales before becoming an outside sales representative. Her career has taken her from Florida to the Lexington Dispatch and the High Point Enterprise.

“That was the best thing that has ever happened to me. It got me out of my shell and got me out meeting different kinds of people,” Wolf said. “I enjoy meeting people and helping them grow their business. That’s why I’m still doing what I’m doing today.”

She and her husband have seven children and 16 grandchildren between them.

She says she enjoys dealing with local advertisers most.

“When it’s local you get that feel for why they’re doing what they’re doing.”
